Once upon a time, I would read a 400+ pages book in a few days. But this time was clearly not February. During the last 28 days, I managed to read only two books, which was my goal for the month.
- China Rich Girlfriend by Kevin Kwan

China Rich Girlfriend is the second book from Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians novel. And it was as good as the first one. It has the right dose of funny and dramatic moments. I would love to say more about it, but I fear I will give a spoiler!
If you haven’t read Crazy Rich Asians, please read it, especially if you’re Asian. And if you did read it, please get the second book too. What I love about these novels is that they are different from any other fiction I ever read, at the same time that they are similar. It is so refreshing to read a book about Asians in modern day Asia. Also, I feel like the plot could easily be part of Gossip Girl. Uhh… Netflix, do you want to do an Asiatic and grown up version of Gossip Girl, please? Singapore can be the Upper East Side!
2. How to Be a Parisian Wherever You Are: Love, Style and Bad Habits by Sophie Mas, Audrey Diwan, Caroline de Maigret, Anne Berest

I first read this book when I was only 16, right after it was released. And I always remembered how much I liked reading it. So, five years later, I decided to read it again.
How to be a Parisian talk about how the stereotypical Parisian ladies really are, and it gives you tips on how to become one. If you ever read it, or hope to do so in the near future, please don’t take things that literally.
This is a very light and fun book that you can easily read in one day.
